4 super eroi la Nocrich

Between January and September 2015 the National Organisation of Romanian Scouts, through Nocrich Scout Centre- H. C. Habermann, will host in a small, transylvanian village 4 enthusiastic  volunteers, Bruno, Tiago, Darina and Pavel. They came from Portugal and the Czech Republic through “Romanian Villages Speak Non Formal” implemented through European Volunteering Service.

During their staying in Romania, the 4 volunteers will organise and hold activities of nonformal education based on the Scout Method, activities which aim to develop the children from the village in a physical, intellectual, moral, affective, social and spiritual way. Moreover, the children will have the opportunity to develop and improve their English skills through various interactive methods like games, competitions and creative activities.

The volunteers passed the challenge of the first weeks spent here. During this time they got to adapt with the place and people, know each others and started to work as a team and now they are excitingly making plans for the next months. The purpose of the this project is that by the end of the volunteering stage, through the activities held at Nocrich Scout Centre- H. C. Habermann, the 4 volunteers will become active citizens who will take part in the development and improvement of the communities they came from.

The promising beginning ensured us that during these 9 months of the project we will be able to generate  positive changes not only in the community the educational centre is located, but also in the development of the volunteers who will return home more prepared to accomplish the following challenges with confidence and creativity. The finale stage of the initiative includes a personal project which they will have to individually develop and which will represent their input in the development of the community and the people they interacted

We are looking forward to see how these projects will look and we will also enjoy the process of getting there, with all the specific ups and downs.
