Group packages

For groups who want to come to Nocrich without organising everything from scratch, we have prepared two packages. We can adapt them to the age of the participants, the time of year and what your group wants — write to us.

Winter weekend at Nocrich

Three days and two nights in the old parochial house, with heating, a kitchen for large groups and a workshop of your choice.

200 RON / person, including:

• 2 nights of indoor accommodation (up to 28 people, in two rooms of 12 and 16 beds);
• one workshop for the group, of your choice;
• access to the centre's facilities: the three activity rooms, the fully equipped kitchen, showers and more;
• help with organising the activities.

• Pottery
• First aid (with the SMURD Foundation)
• Winter survival
• The campfire: types of fire, how to make a fire in winter, fire prevention

What else you will find here

• hikes between the neighbouring villages, suited to your group's age and time;
• a campfire whatever the weather — we have a mobile fire pit and a roomy shed;
• meetings with our international volunteers, to learn more about other cultures;
• uninterrupted heating, outdoor activity spaces and educational materials for any kind of activity.

Before or after the Jamboree

Coming to the Jamboree and want to discover Romania too? We suggest five days at Nocrich, with accommodation in tents, workshops, a hike in the Făgăraș Mountains and a day in Sibiu.

Day 1 – Welcome to Nocrich

Arrival and pitching the tents, an introduction to the centre, the Saxon community and the fortified church, then Nocrich Quest. Dinner and campfire.

Day 2 – Pottery and canoeing

The group splits: one half at the pottery workshop, the other canoeing on Bradu Lake, then they swap after lunch. Campfire in the evening.

Day 3 – The Făgăraș Mountains

A hike to Bâlea Lac with a packed lunch, then a pizza workshop in the wood-fired oven and a campfire.

Day 4 – Sibiu and the Mocănița

Part of the group visits Sibiu, the other takes a ride on the Mocănița narrow-gauge steam train, then they swap. In the evening: dinner and a big game (widegame) or a relaxed evening.

Day 5 – Departure

We pack up camp and head for the airport.

Indicative price: about 300 EUR / participant, with the activities, the meals in the programme, local transport and the Otopeni airport – Nocrich – Otopeni transfer included. We can provide the tents. The final price depends on the size of the group and the time of year.
