Summer Volunteering
Want to volunteer at Nocrich in the summer?
In summer, the Nocrich Scout Centre is full of scouts from different countries. To keep all the activities running smoothly and the campsite ready for every group that comes through our door, we need help both with workshops and activities and with looking after the centre. If you have a few free weeks and feel like getting involved, you can come and volunteer at Nocrich!
Period: 1 June – 31 August
Minimum participation: 2 weeks
Who can take part
- scouts aged 18 or over;
- explorers aged 16–17, if accompanied by an adult and with their parents' consent;
- friends who are not scouts, if they come together with a scout.
What we offer
- accommodation;
- money for food;
- transport Sibiu – Nocrich;
- a volunteer T-shirt;
- two days off per week.
What you will do
- maintenance: mowing the grass, cleaning the campsite, small repairs;
- workshops for the scout groups that come to the centre;
- support with the centre's daily activities;
- other activities, depending on the centre's needs and your experience.
Activities vary from one week to the next, depending on what is happening at the centre and the projects we are working on at the time.
Sign-ups for summer volunteering open every year before the season starts. If you would like to spend a few weeks at Nocrich, follow our announcements to find out when sign-ups open!
